Oman Chromite Company signed a mining concession agreement with the Ministry of Energy and Minerals on October 9, 2024, for the mining area 11-A in the northern part of the Sultanate. The agreement aims to conduct exploratory activities for chromite, copper, and other minerals. This agreement is part of the Sultanate’s comprehensive strategy in the mining sector, which seeks to allocate large concession areas to attract professional and specialized exploration companies to uncover mining opportunities in the Sultanate and transform them into sustainable economic projects that contribute to added value for the national economy.
